The core function of the BusWay app is navigation on specific routes/lines and recording new routes. For this purpose, we collect and process your precise location data.
- Use in the foreground: While the app is open and you are navigating or recording, your location is displayed on the map and used to calculate driving directions.
- Use in the background (Background Location]: BusWay also collects location data when the app is closed or not in use in order to continue active navigation (voice announcements, deviation alarm] and route recording in the background. This data is processed locally on your device and only transmitted to our servers if you explicitly upload a recorded route (Cloud-Sync].
