Use Cases for BusWay

Discover how BusWay simplifies daily challenges in driving services – from onboarding to emergency transport.

Onboarding new drivers

For new drivers, one of the biggest challenges is mastering all routes safely in a short time. The onboarding phase is often expensive and ties up experienced personnel.

With BusWay, you drastically reduce this onboarding time. Instead of weeks of accompanied trips ("learning trips"], often a single briefing trip is sufficient. After that, the new driver navigates safely with BusWay. The system not only shows him the route but also shows him the stops in time. This saves personnel costs and makes new employees productive faster.

New Routes/Lines for the entire team

When timetables or network changes occur, all drivers in your company often have to learn new routes at the same time. A logistical nightmare for the operations management.

BusWay makes this process scalable. You centrally import the new route in the BusWay Cockpit, and the next morning it is available to every driver in the vehicle. No paper chaos, no ambiguous sketches. Everyone drives the correct, new route from day 1. This guarantees a smooth operation even with large network changes.

Construction sites & short-term diversions

Nothing disrupts operations more than a sudden construction site. Notices and maps are misunderstood, instructions forgotten.

In BusWay, you can digitally enter diversions. The navigation system automatically guides the driver around the closure and safely back onto the Route/Line. Particularly valuable: temporary drivers who do not know the local geography do not get lost but simply follow the adjusted Route/Line on the display.

Rail replacement service (RRS]

In emergency transport, drivers often have to go to areas they have never seen before. There is no time for route reconnaissance here.

This is BusWay's showpiece discipline. Since RRS routes are often complex (approaching train stations through narrow access roads], precise guidance is necessary. You create the route on the PC, send it to the fleet, and your drivers can start immediately – safely and on time, as if they had driven the route a hundred times.

Temporary drivers & floaters

Drivers who only occasionally step in on weekends or as vacation replacements often forget routes again. The uncertainty always travels with them.

Give your temporary staff security. With BusWay, they don't have to remember every turn. The system takes over the cognitive load of wayfinding. The result: less stress for the driver, fewer wrong turns and higher punctuality for your passengers, even with rarely used personnel.

Subcontractor Management

If you assign trips to subcontractors, you often have little control over whether their drivers really know the route.

Provide (or require] BusWay as a standard for your subcontractors. This ensures that external service providers also deliver exactly the quality and route fidelity that your passengers are used to from your company. Complaints about skipped stops are a thing of the past.

Overcoming language barriers

Many people with different native languages work in the transport industry. Complex textual driving instructions often lead to misunderstandings.

The visual nature of BusWay is universally understandable. An arrow to the right is an arrow to the right in every language. The clear map view and unambiguous symbols help drivers with limited German language skills to do their job excellently without being unsettled by language barriers. In addition, every driver can individually select one of 18 languages in the BusWay app and thus convert all app content and voice announcements to their preferred language.

Night traffic & poor visibility

At night, the usual landmarks (churches, striking buildings] are missing. Even knowledgeable drivers can miss turnoffs here.

BusWay "sees" even in the dark. The bright display shows the route precisely, regardless of the outside lighting. Especially in rural areas or in fog, the system gives the driver the decisive plus in safety and orientation.
